Improvement of acoustics
In spring 2023, the existing sound system of the St. Martin Church in Oberbierbach (municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Erding) was renewed by the team from PHOENIX Professional Audio.
The aim of the project was to achieve a significant improvement in speech intelligibility in the church by using a few new audio components.
And indeed, the use of the new analog automatic mixer amplifier POWERVOICE PV-DSP-1D.5.2X-2U from the own brand Phoenix Professional Audio with Class-D power amplifier in combination with the new K4-80F sound columns – after precise calibration of the system – achieved an astonishing acoustic improvement in the church.
A new microphone system for the ambo and altar was also used, consisting of gooseneck microphones from the MEX series and MEG series.
