Project description
Church sound reinforcement
In spring 2021, the Christuskirche Protestant Church in Selb (Bavaria) was reopened and equipped by PHOENIX Professional Audio with a new own brand PA system:
The heart of the new sound system in the church is the POWERVOICE PV-DSP-4ACD.9.4.2X – a digital DSP automatic mixer amplifier with DSP4, 2 x digital power amplifier (class D), phantom power, HPF filter (100Hz), MIK.-LINE, digital automatic system, audio matrix, conference configuration / priority, dynamic Compressor-Expander-Limiter function, DeEsser and MP3 player with BT receiver.
The high-end automatic mixers are specially developed for use in acoustically demanding buildings (building acoustics).
The professional passive directional sound columns of the K1 and K4 series have been specially developed for sound transmission in acoustically difficult rooms with long reverberation times, e.g. for churches, conference rooms, museums, cathedrals and halls as well as for all rooms with unfavorable acoustic conditions. Thanks to their special design and internal features, they make a particular contribution to reverberation reduction.
MEG gooseneck microphones were used at the altar.
