Church sound reinforcement

In the spring of 2021, the Catholic Church of St Franziskus in Schwarzenbach / Saale (Bavaria) was renovated by PHOENIX Professional Audio with a new private label sound system Phoenix Professional Audio equipped:
The heart of the new sound system in the church is the Pre-Amp Mixer AMX-9-DSP4-ACD – a digital automatic preamplifier with 8 universal inputs on XLR (MIC/LINE with DIP switches ), USB/SD MP3 player with BT receiver, 10 input and 5 output PEQ, audio matrix, de-esser with FULL, SPLIT, AIR functions, delays, feedback limiter and much more.
Equipped with a Compressor-Expander-Limiter function, the automatic preamplifier has been specially developed for professional sound reinforcement tasks in acoustically demanding buildings (building acoustics).
The Beam steering technology used in the DSP Beam Steering Line Arrays DIGIVOICE-230.16DSP2 enables electronic controllability of sound aperture angle and tilt angle in the vertical direction, continuously variable in real time, completely without mechanical alignment of the loudspeaker systems (tilt). The slim loudspeaker columns have been specially developed for sound transmission in acoustically challenging rooms such as churches and make a particular contribution to reverberation reduction.
MEG and MEX gooseneck microphones were placed on Ambo, priest’s seat and altar.
A new radio system from the “MIPRO” brand ensures complete flexibility and freedom of movement during the services.
