Project description
Church PA
In the church of St. Pius in Augsburg, a new sound system was to ensure better audibility of prayers and preaching. This was a long-standing wish that the Phoenix PA team put into reality in the spring of 2018:
For the church, DIGIVOICE-330.16DSP2 digital DSP beam steering arrays were manufactured (specially powder coated in red brick color) and installed. The internal state-of-the-art “beam-steering” technology in these digital church loudspeakers achieves a particularly even sound coverage throughout the entire sound area. This minimizes the ceiling and wall reflections, resulting in outstanding voice and music transmission. Thanks to their minimalist, elegant appearance, the two column speakers in special color “merge” harmoniously with the ecclesiastical interior design.
In addition to the new church sound system the following sound equipment is used: The AMX-9-DSP4-ACD digital automatic preamp, MEX series gooseneck microphones (with LED) for Ambo (including MEGZ-2 microphone floor stand) and Altar, the active subwoofer system DAS- 1000A, a new wireless microphone system and the induction loop amplifier ILA-450.
The Phoenix team has measured and leveled the new sound system.
The new PA system now ensures a perfect sound in the church during the services.
