Audio sound system in the catering area
of the digital start-up center —
“DasSTELLWERK18”

In spring 2023, the café “DasSTELLWERK18 | eat | drink | business & more” of the digital start-up center Rosenheim (Upper Bavaria) received a new sound system from PHOENIX Professional Audio.

The Stellwerk18 supports and connects start-ups and companies through a sustainable network in the field of digitization and innovation. In the in-house restaurant, not only start-ups but also the general public can “get a taste of the start-up atmosphere” over breakfast or lunch and enjoy various delicacies.

The choice of the right audio technology for the catering area of this modern location was therefore THE decisive factor in creating a pleasant atmosphere for guests during their time out and thus a real added value for the catering. DasSTELLWERK18 can also be rented for events. The aim when planning the sound system was therefore to use audio technology that offers the greatest possible flexibility and that, in addition to musical sound, also makes it possible to make announcements via the PA system.

The choice of amplifier therefore fell on the “all-rounder” PV-DSP-1D.7.4X-2U, the compact analog DSP automatic mixer from the POWERVOICE series from Phoenix Professional Audio, which uniformly controls the sound from the six built-in BS-165-30C wall speakers across the entire area of the catering area.

The numerous setting options of the PV-DSP-1D.7.4X-2U ensure particularly precise room equalization and excellent adaptation to the room acoustics. In addition to 400W/100V power, a digital power amplifier (Class-D), NOISE-GATE system and DSP, the automatic mixer amplifier also has an additional speaker line (100V) with separate volume control and SOFT-START for greater speaker protection. Another plus: In full operation, the amplifier has an efficiency of over 90% and is therefore particularly energy efficient.

In order to meet the demand for high flexibility, DasSTELLWERK18 also received a new MIPRO radio system from the ACT-300 series, including an analog diversity 2-channel UHF radio receiver with ACT function as well as matching handheld radio transmitters and a neckband microphone.

The innovative wireless ACT-300 microphone systems are robust, can be used flexibly and professionally in a variety of applications and offer excellent and superior audio and radio quality.

The team from Phoenix Professional Audio took over the acoustic measurement and system leveling on site.
