Project description
Church acoustics
In the summer of 2018, the Église Catholique church in Villeneuve (Switzerland), near Lake Geneva, was equipped with a new sound system from Phoenix Professional Audio:
The new digital automatic mixing amplifier PV-DSP-4ACD.9.4.1, which is equipped with the latest technologies, such as DeEsser (dynamic damping of “SSS” and sibilants), compressor expander and much more, provides a more precise spatial equalization and excellent adaptation to the room acoustics in the church.
The sound of the nave is made via passive sound columns of the K4 series, which were specially developed for sound transmission in acoustically difficult rooms with long reverberation times. Weatherproof KST5-60 loudspeaker systems were used for the external sonication of the church.
Furthermore, the church got a new wireless microphone system for the mobile use during the service.
The filigree MEG and MEX gooseneck microphones in silver matte color on the ambo and on the altar merge with the noble ecclesiastical interior design and ensure a perfect voice reproduction through an extremely straight-line frequency response.
