Project description
Church acoustics
Phoenix PA equipped the 600-year-old Church Église Saint-Jean Baptiste in Corsier / Geneva (Switzerland) with a new amplifier sound system: The technology used is the digital automatic mixing amplifier of type Phoenix POWERVOICE PV-DSP-4ACD.9.4.1 with DSP, DeEsser, AMP and many other great features on board. Despite the challenging room acoustics, with this power mixer an excellent speech intelligibilty and precise music reproduction has been reached in the whole interior church room. Connections for active monitoring speakers in the altar area have been created. The sound reinforcement is provided by column speakers of the series K4-40F. Due to the inability to lay cables from the gallery to the central, a wireless microphone system has been installed for choir and organs.
