Project description
PA sound reinforcement
In 2021, the PA system of the vitality world Monte Mare in Schliersee (Bavaria) with a huge wellness area and swimming pool was renewed. The PHOENIX Professional Audio team took on the extensive assembly and rewiring of the public address system as well as the Calibration, level adjustment and programming of the new sound system.
In particular, the large indoor swimming pool, the relaxation rooms, the outdoor pool and the gastronomy terrace of the large vitality world have been equipped with new sound technology. The renewal of the sauna speakers and the outdoor sound system for the sauna area were also part of the extensive project. Finally, the course room and the fitness room were also equipped with a new ELA system.
The high-performance speaker system K6.5-75IP was used for the outside sound reinforcement. The weatherproof 2-way system is ideally suitable for outdoor and indoor areas . The full-range speakers deliver high-quality voice and music reproduction. They are particularly suitable for sound reinforcement in sports halls, swimming pools, indoor swimming pools, trade fairs, stadiums, outdoor areas, outside sound reinforcement of churches, etc. The front grille is equipped with a special water barrier, so that the system can also be used close to areas with salt water.
The heart of the new PA system are the new digital transformerless power amplifiers PA-4300DX (1U, IEC 268-3) with 4 x 300 / 2 x 600 watts of power through power sharing, 100V speaker outputs and many other useful technical features. A total of 12 of these power packs were installed in the vitality world Monte Mare. The amplifiers were developed for use in the public address area, such as for the sound reinforcement of office buildings, shopping malls, supermarkets, bars, swimming pools and public facilities, for operation with a 100V speaker line.
In full operation, the power amplifiers have an efficiency of over 90% and are therefore particularly energy-efficient. An active standby circuit ensures low power consumption.
The overall system output power of the PA-4300DX digital transformerless power amps is 1.2 KW – with a weight of only 5.9 kg. The low weight makes it easier to transport fully equipped 19″ cabinets and enables “1-man service” when maintaining the extremely powerful systems.
