Project description
Church sound reinforcement
At the end of 2023, the sound system of the Parish Church of Mariae Himmelfahrt in Hirnsberg in Upper Bavaria (municipality of Bad Endorf) was expanded with a new speaker system and radio system from PHOENIX Professional Audio:
The Parish Church of Mariae Himmelfahrt is located approx. 90m above Lake Simssee. In addition to the scenic location, the parish church, which emerged in the 15th century from parts of the small castle chapel, also offers a particularly beautiful church room that was given a baroque makeover in 1743.
In 2021, Phoenix Professional Audio had already installed a new church amplifier and a microphone system in the parish church. The aim of the acoustic project in 2023 was to achieve a further improvement in speech intelligibility and reverberation reduction in the church by using a few new audio components.
In order to meet this requirement, the Phoenix team decided to install two passive, slim K4-80F directional sound columns in the church, which also fit visually perfectly and unobtrusively into the magnificent church room.
The frequency-independent directional sound radiation of the K4-80F sound columns is limited to the audience area and thus delivers highest acoustic and natural speech reproduction.
After precise leveling of the system, the addition of the two new speakers resulted in an astonishing acoustic improvement in the church – with a uniform volume and excellent speech intelligibility in the entire sound area.
Furthermore, a new radio system was installed in the parish church.

We are very pleased with the successful renewal of the sound system and would like to thank the parish for the trust they have once again placed in us!
