Project description
Church PA
In the spring of 2021, the Catholic Parish Church of St. Dionysius in Rottenburg / Dettingen in the district of Tuebingen (Baden-Wurttemberg) has been equipped by PHOENIX Professional Audio with a new Phoenix Professional Audio own-brand PA system:
The POWERVOICE system amplifier used in the church PV-DSP-4ACD.9.4.2X is a digital DSP automatic mixer amplifier with DSP4, 2 x digital output stage (class D), Phantom power, HPF filter (100Hz), MIC.-LINE, digital automatic system, audio matrix, conference configuration / priority, dynamic Compressor-Expander-Limiter function, DeEsser and MP3 player with BT receiver.
The high-end automatic mixers in the Phoenix POWEVOICE series are specially developed for use in acoustically demanding buildings (building acoustics).
Phoenix’s sound reinforcement concept includes the use of digital speaker columns DIGIVOICE-350.16DSP2. The Beam Steering Technology used in the DSP Beam Steering Line Arrays allows electronic controllability of sound aperture angle and tilt angle in the vertical direction, stepless in real time, completely without mechanical alignment of the loudspeaker systems (tilt). The slim speaker columns have been specially developed for sound transmission in acoustically challenging rooms such as churches and make a particular contribution to reverberation reduction.
The compact “bass cube” DAS-1000A in minimalist-modern design blends harmoniously into the church environment and provides a pleasant bass response when playing pieces of music. The subwoofer is equipped with a 12″ woofer neodymium chassis with a 4″ voice coil and is the ideal companion for the DIGIVOICE DSP Beam Steering Line Arrays used in the church.
MEX gooseneck microphones were installed at the Ambo, the priest’s seat and the altar.
In addition to Phoenix’ own-brand sound system, also a new radio system from the “MIPRO” brand was installed, which ensures complete flexibility and freedom of movement during the services.
