Project description
Church sound reinforcement &
Acoustical improvement
The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Florian in Fraunberg (municipality in the Erding district in Upper Bavaria) was built in the 18th century on the site of a late Gothic predecessor church.
In late autumn 2020, the acoustics in the church were optimized by the PHOENIX Professional Audio team. The aim of the project was to improve the existing sound system using the existing loudspeakers and microphones.
The digital automatic mixing amplifier PV-DSP-1ACD.9.4X (own brand Phoenix Professional Audio) has been used.
The amplifier, specially developed for churches and acoustically challenging buildings in general, is equipped with a Class-D power amplifier and other features essential for reverberation reduction such as DeEsser (dynamic attenuation of “SSS” and sibilance), Compressor Expander and much more.
Plugs and sockets in the church room were brought up to date.
The PHOENIX Professional Audio team also took on the acoustic measurement and system level adjustment on site.
