Project description
Expansion with new microphone system
for ambo and priest’s seat
In June 2024, the existing sound system of the parish church of St. Martin in Langenpreising (Erding district) in Upper Bavaria was expanded to include a new microphone system.
PHOENIX Professional Audio has enjoyed a close partnership with the parish for over 10 years: Back in 2013, the PHOENIX team equipped the church with a new digital sound system from its own brand, Phoenix Professional Audio – including digital DSP beam steering line arrays from the DIGIVOICE series and a digital church amplifier from the POWERVOICE series. In 2022, the system was retrofitted with a mobile sound system for the cemetery, providing a permanently installed outdoor sound system (read our article on this here).
The modernization of St. Martin’s Parish Church in 2024 marks another milestone in this long-term partnership: The sound system has now been expanded to include a new microphone system for the ambo and priest’s seat with wireless connectivity.
The MEX gooseneck microphones MEX-1-500 and MEX-1-600 are particularly characterized by their extremely linear frequency response and, with their matte silver finish, blend almost completely into the church’s interior architecture. The floor stand at the priest’s seat is also equipped with a wireless transmitter from MIPRO, and a corresponding wireless receiver has been installed in the sacristy.
After precise acoustic measuring and professional system level adjustment, the new church microphones, in conjunction with the existing audio system, ensure perfect speech intelligibility and optimal sound quality throughout the entire church.
